Things to do in beautiful South East Cornwall
Gardens
Cornwall is known for its wonderful gardens of which there are plenty in the area. The National Trust’s Flagship Lanhydrock House and superb gardens is only a 5 minute drive away. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 30 minute drive and the World famous Eden Project Just 20 minutes. Prince Charles has his own Nursery The Duchy Nursery ideal for purchasing all those plants to take home and this is less than 5 minutes away.
The South Cornish Coast.
The Port of Fowey, renowned for its sailing and deep harbour is 8 miles from Tithe Hall. Wonder down through the narrow streets and sample local caught fish in the restaurants and pubs and finish off with Treleavens Luxury Ice cream, made with milk produced at Tithe Hall Farm.
Looe and Polperro are also within easy reach of the farm and Charlestown is home to the Tall Ships frequently used in films and television programmes.
North Cornwall Coast
A little further afield are the beaches and coves of Rock, Polzeath (famous for surfing) and picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac.
Walking / Cycling / Canoeing
There are beautiful walks around the South East Cornwall coastline and Bodmin Moor. Alan and Helen have information on many walks which is available to guests. Cycling on the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow is a must for the cycling enthusiast and walkers alike. The River Fowey and beautiful Village of Lerryn are nearby and ideal for River boat trips and canoeing. For an easy day trip a visit to Lands End. The Tate St Ives, The National Maritime Museum at Falmouth and Geevor Tin Mine are Highly recommended.
